Josh Seil, PA
Josh is a skilled family medicine provider who has practiced in the Bismarck-Mandan community for 4+ years within the areas of family medicine and emergency medicine.
He graduated from and went to medical school at the University of South Dakota earning a master’s degree in physician assistant studies in biology. He is board certified by the National American Academy of Physician Assistants and licensed through the North Dakota Board of Medicine.
Josh is proud to come back to family medicine, as this is his passion, treating families of all ages to include pediatrics, geriatrics, and preventative care, as well as urgent care concerns. He started in family medicine, where he worked for a little over one year. He then worked in emergency medicine at a level II trauma center for over three years, which he continues to work at 1-2 days a month. He does have a specific focus in orthopedics, to include joint injections, splinting, and casting, as well as dislocation/reductions. He came back to family medicine in August, 2019 after working as a locum at Independent Doctors in May of 2019. He was impressed with the clinic, doctors, medical staff, and vision of Independent Doctors to provide quality care for patients wanting something different from what big medicine provides.
Josh is a small-town North Dakota boy who grew up on a ranch in a rural community, Rugby, ND. He also serves our country as he has been a part of the North Dakota National Guard for over 20 years, where he is responsible for training the medics of the 164th Engineer Battalion on trauma and emergency medicine.
He resides in the Bismarck area with his wife and three young children. He fills his time outside of the clinic with sports, spending time with his family playing board games, and doing activities out in the country. He was raised on a farm with 50-plus horses, so he loves to ride and spend time outdoors.
